By forming a protective layer, DG. DERM Barrier Cream significantly helps in preventing pressure injuries (such as bedsores), preventing and treating incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD), intertriginous dermatitis (ITD), and can be used as periwounds and peristomal applications.
Its formulation is designed to balance occlusivity, allowing the skin to breathe effectively while retaining moisture. Therefore, due to its combined emollient and hydrating effects, the product provides optimal conditions for skin protection.
The formulation avoids the use of occlusive oils or ingredients that may interfere with skin breathability. Instead, by incorporating polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and forming a stable, breathable, and hydrating film, it creates a protective layer that prevents moisture loss and helps restore part of the lost hydration.
Thanks to its non-irritant composition, this cream is safe for use on sensitive and fragile skin, making it suitable for elderly individuals and children.
