DG Derm Advanced Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Dressing
DG Derm Advanced Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Dressing is specifically formulated to propel wound healing acceleration process, particularly at the inflammation and proliferation stages. It creates a moist microclimate and a stable polymer film, which inhibits or minimizes scarring by absorbing excess exudate, maintaining the wound in an optimal moisture state, and equilibrating cellular interactions.
This transparent gel has better viscosity and elasticity, which allows easy application to the wound site and excellent stability for healing. Hydrocolloid components, e.g., carboxymethyl cellulose, provide strength and stability to the gel. This polymer provides stability and elasticity to the product, thus a strong and effective wound-healing product.
In addition, the electrolyte substrate of DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel establishes isotonic conditions, which preserve moisture balance in the wound and take up secretions.
DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Superior hydration
The studies have shown that moist dressings over wounds heal more quickly than wounds treated with dry dressings. The moist environment, autolytic debridement, and facilitates the epithelial cells migration, thus accelerating the epithelialization process. DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Dressing is a sophisticated formulation that accelerates the wound healing process, especially the inflammation and proliferation stages, through moist environment creation and a stable polymer film. It works to debride autoltically, soften and remove necrotic tissue, and minimize the wound healing process. This dressing avoids or minimizes scarring through exclusion of excess fluid, maintaining the wound at optimum moisture levels, and allowing optimal cellular behavior.
Stability and Creating a Cool Feeling
DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Dressing is a strictly formulated gel with an ideal elastic phase and storage modulus (G´). This formulation ensures maximum efficacy in exudate absorption of the wound and moisture transmission to the wound bed without deteriorating its integrity or flowing when applied.
It is extremely stable at the suggested temperature range. It will be cooling to the wound site, reducing temperature, and giving relief from pain at this temperature range like an ice pack. It has optimal viscosity such that it adapts very well to all kinds of wounds, no matter the size or shape.
Easy application and change
DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Dressing is an amorphous hydrogel of ideal viscosity and elasticity, easy to apply to the wound surface and highly stable during healing. The dressing remains stable for application to a wound for up to 3 days, reducing the dressing changes frequency, treatment cost, and patient discomfort. Moreover, its water-soluble nature allows for easy removal with minimal residue and reduced discomfort during dressing changes.
Skin compatibility of DG Derm amorphous hydrogel wound dressing
The product’s optimal pH is another key feature, promoting efficient activity of the cells responsible for wound healing. This characteristic enables the product to work optimally on contact with the wound and prevents irritation and unpleasant sensations to the patient due to the high product compatibility with the skin tissue.
Ingredients
Purified water, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, glycerol, electrolytes
Carboxymethyl cellulose
Carboxymethyl cellulose or CMC is a biocompatible and water-absorbing polymer that is obtained from cellulose. The addition of CMC polymer to the DG Derm amorphous hydrogel wound dressing, has created a highly stable and elastic gel with extremely strong gel formation due to its hydrocolloid character.
Hydroxyethyl cellulose
Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a biocompatible cellulose derivative polymer that thicken amorphous hydrogel wound dressings to render them appropriate for application as a primary dressing. By controlling the hydrogel rheology, HEC offers optimal product stability so that the dressing will remain intact at the wound for several days without degradation.
Glycerol
DG Derm amorphous wound hydrogel glycerol component is a humectant and effectively balances desorption and dressing absorption ability.
Electrolyte
The hydrogel electrolytes balance moisture level at the wound and absorb exudate so that the dressing becomes isotonic similar to blood plasma.
Moisturizing properties evaluation
To assess the moisturizing ability of DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel on wounds, a fluid donation test was conducted in accordance with the EN 13726:2021 standard. The test results indicated that DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel Wound Dressing has a fluid donation capacity of over 12%, which is higher than other commercial products in this category. This high performance makes it highly effective for debriding and healing necrotic wounds as well as other wounds.
DG Derm Amorphous Wound Hydrogel Usage:
- non-infected sloughy and necrotic wounds
- Bedsores
- Cavity wounds
- Venous ulcers
- 1st and 2nd degree burns
- Diabetic wounds
- Abrasions and cuts
- Post-surgical wounds
DG Derm Amorphous Wound Hydrogel is offered in two convenient packaging options: a 15-gram plain tube and an accordion tube. The flexibility allows patients to select the most appropriate type based on wound type and patient needs. Accordion packaging is particularly convenient when treating deep wounds or inaccessible wounds in order to preserve product wastage.
How to use DG Derm Amorphous Hydrogel Dressing
Clean the wound and surrounding skin using DG Derm Wound Cleansing Solution prior to applying DG Derm Amorphous Wound Hydrogel. Use the hydrogel directly in the wound or on a secondary dressing. Gently apply the product across the area with a sterile applicator if needed. The appropriate secondary dressing is determined by the wound type, location, exudate level, and dressing change frequency. You may leave the DG Derm Amorphous Wound Hydrogel on the wound for up to 3 days.
